EDIT: March 5th is when Atlanta Dragway opens the Friday Night Grudge runs. I checked Silver Dollar's website, but couldn't find anything yet about the 2004 season.
So.....what's Santa bringing you this year?

Where do you guys have meets? I'm new to ATL and sadly don't have an AMG... yet. I'll get there eventually. But I'd love to come out and see all the cars together and meet some people. I heard the last GTG was pretty impressive over the summer or last spring.

MBCA is encouraging the formation of Special Interest Groups....I'll be working towards initiating an AMG Special Interest Group based out of the Peachtree Section.
Possible events would be:
Driving/Touring meets
Performance Tech Sessions
Dyno runs
F1 Viewing GTGs
and possible track events!

I'd like to come as well. Hopefully my car will sell soon, but I'd love to meet some other ATL are AMG enthusiasts. By the way, if any of you know of someone looking for a 208 55, mine is for sale. It is posted in the classifieds section here, and will be in the Autotrader beginning Tuesday.

At this point, my proposal is that those who wish to gather meet up for the first F1 race to be broadcast on Speed Channel the evening of Saturday, March 6th. Coverage will begin at 9:30pm.
There will be F1 fans (all kinds) meeting up at the Jock's-n-Jill's in Brookhaven.

In addition to the other things being planned, the idea of heading over to the Atlanta Donut Derelicts was also tossed around.
Weather permitting (they don't hold a meet if it rains), I am planning on stopping by this Saturday morning, January 17th. It would be a great time to meet up as well as discuss ideas for future events.

Looks like I am going to need to pass on this one. I have a couple of schedule issues that will keep me tied up in the AM tomorrow.
On another note, I talked with my friend from the Corvette club about a track day in March at Silver Dollar. It looks like it would be the standard $20 per driver $10 for spectators for the day.
I like the idea of a cold day...
