engine mount replacement help
i've seen the 1 DIY posted for this job however it was off a CLK430 or something and the picture where the engine was jacked up showed that there was really nothing in the way of the entire oil pan.
i got under the car yesterday and i have a frame brace (i think) as well as the steering rack directly under most of the engine, only leaving about 3 inches at the rear of the oil pan to put a 2x4 or similar for support....
do i need to take more stuff off or just use this small area to raise the engine? i cant seem to find any thread where someone managed this on a 55, just non-amg
thanks

Drop the lower cover and you'll see this much of the pan. That's where the 2x4 goes. The part number for a pan is 1120100628 and that same pan is used for both a 430 and a 55. Both cars also use the same motor mounts.

I followed these great instructions for my 55, was a very easy job with them.
