Front brakes squeek sometimes....CLK55 new pads only ok?
Hi all,
I have a 2006 CLK55 Cab & recently replaced the rear pads & rotors.
The fronts are probably getting close, but I've not yet seen the "brake light" yet so I've held off. Given the high cost of front rotors, wondering if I can get away w/ just doing new pads?
Anyone having input would be greatly appreciated.

Rotors are typically mic'd (measure the thickness of the rotor) to see if they're in spec. I have the CLK specs listed here - www.fitzhughmedia.com/MBF/brspec.html
Mic the rotors and you'll know. It's not uncommon for rotors to be replaced every other brake job, but they must be mic'd. Rotors can also be out of spec after a single set of pads. New pads on out of spec rotors is a waste of time and money.
