Just received my racing helmet in the mail Friday! We'll be meeting in the morning on the 28th for a caravan down to the track.

I can't recall exactly what the others ran, except James Cannon ran a 12.1XX @ 120+ in his W210 E55 with Renntech goodies.

My times slips are at the office. I'll snap a photo of it and post over on the AMG / S.I.G. forums in the next couple days.

My video camera is not digital, sorry.

BUSTED!! LOL!

1 byte limit, right? Okay....

12:09 pm 03/29/2004

R/T: .514
60': 2.204
330: 5.906
1/8: 8.932
MPH: 81.00
1000: 11.534
1/4: 13.713

Feeling like a dunce, I lined up for the second run. It was damn hot that day....85 degrees +

12:25 pm 03/29/2004

R/T: .220
60': 2.135
330: 5.859
1/8: 8.886
MPH: 81.15
1000: 11.484
1/4: 13.662
MPH: 104.17

*******************

Again, I ran with a full trunk and did not adjust my tire pressures (35 psi at the rear). Frankly, I was lazy and was more interested in hanging out with the AMG gang and watching the others run.

NOTE: They had the lights set up where the R/T was perfect at .000

Yeah, the heat and that Atlanta humidity weren't helping!!

With that 60' time and those ETs, you'd have probably hit a 13.4 or so, and picked up 1-2 mph in trap speed, with 70 degree weather.

Btw, how did you launch? Any wheelspin issues? One benefit of higher temps like that is that you will get a bit more grip....

Thanks!

That's what my time was back on November 8th (13.439 @ 105.79).

Re: Lauching/Wheelspin

This most recent time, we were guests of the Georgia F-body Association. There were a lot of cars putting down rubber on the track in front of us....I felt the track was in 'good shape'.

I mentally practiced "rolling" the throttle as opposed to just standing on it, so I felt I hooked up okay (still got some spin on launch)....but I'm no expert. I've made a total of five runs *ever*.

The W211 E55 that ran with us had extreme traction issues.
