Dustball Rally 2016
Home from the 2016 Dustball Rally. I drove ~1,300 miles Austin -> Las Vegas for the start. Dustball Rally itself was 2,000 additional miles Las Vegas -> Vancouver BC, largely on two lane roads. Fantastic trip: well-planned and executed.
The CLK55 ran without incident; temp was rock-solid between 80C and 100C the entire trip, even through Death Valley. Only need in 3,300 miles was one quart of oil. Mileage now ~57.8k.

Sounds like a good time. You come out to cars and coffee and brings some pictures. People would get a kick out of it.

Post the next event a few months in advance and we might have a few more CLKs to show off and enjoy fun in the dust. so to speak

Dustball Rally 2017 is NY to L.A. I plan to go. Look into it -- a really good group of folks, the vast majority of whom were reasonable, helpful, fun, and driver-community-minded. I jumped in for 2016 after reading an article on Jalopnik.

Ny to LA, wow I was thinking a Texas Arizona private autobahn.
There was a gumball recently and part of it was from Miami to NY continuing on into Europe.
