Not sure what a 2jz is but you can review any post from VIP320 and find out what you are in for.

What mods did you have on your SL55 that bumped up the power that much both in HP and TQ?
Also... what type of dyno did you use?

To answer your question... I'd suggest a M113k swap. It's much easier than a 2JZ. You can fit Mercedes Parts easier than those of a JDM setup.

I say, be the guinea pig for many of us and go the 2jzgte 3litre twin turbo straight six route. I will tell you now, don't bank on the 722.6 gearbox working with a 2jzgte even with a custom bell housing. You would have to run the manual 6 speed Toyota box and aftermarket ECU. I still don't know how will the car work as someone mentioned before, there is too many electrical computers such as the SAM modules that work together with ECU and TCU and then the cluster to allow for engine vitals and the brake system that is probably engaged by that. I have seen someone on the net fit a 13B motor to a BMW M6 so maybe it is possible. But to be safer and not regret it half way down this line, rather fit your SLS motor in there.

He is right, I just viewed one of these engines fresh from japan retrofitting into an earlier non turbo supra. The entire dash was out along with the front clip of the car while all the wiring was getting customized.
Happened to be there getting some tig work done.

You're not making 900whp in an m113k with $23k. And your parts list is missing a lot and has unnecessary things as well

Clk 55

He retrofitted a k engine into a na chassis.
fitting a V8 k engine into a v6 chassis is a VIP 320 question.
VIP 320 is here you just have to pm or search his build threads. He's poineered many w208 attributes.
Cheers

Yes I have done the swap. Actually I'm selling the engine and trans ready to drop in to w208 with slim electric fan and custom upper radiator fan, engine harness, and ecu to make it all work

how much track driving experience do you have? and if any in what type of car? your SL sounds like a drag car, thats why i ask.
i wont say too much on this topic until you can reply - but i track my 208 CLK55 a few times a year (3-5) and do a lot of autocross. there is a big weight distribution issue on the 208 chassis, way too much weight in the front and the easy weight savings on the car is mostly in the reat, only making matters worse - so whaever you do with the engine think about which setup will take the most weight out of the front of the car. also you cant run much wider than a 245 front tire on this car without modifying the front fenders.

if i were you i would get the wheels/tires/suspension/brakes/interior all sorted for track and do a few events in with the current engine and see what you think the chassis needs most. i love this car but if your talking about doing 500hp+ build then plan to spend a lot of time getting the things i mentioned above sorted. the thing i love about track driving over drag racing is that the driver and car setup are great equalizers. a good driver can make up for 200hp or 1000lb weight advantage versus an inexperienced or just plain poor driver in a power heavy car.

l look forward to hearing back from you on your plans. I would love to have more 208 chassis on the tracks to talk to and maybe compare lap times! as far as i know there is only 1 person other than me on this board that does track day/autocross regularly with these cars.
