02 CLK 55AMG reliability?

Cheers all,
Looking at a 02 CLK 55AMG, 73,000mi. Curious about what issues I should look out for as far as reliability, common issues. Seller says that it has always been dealer maintained, clean carfax. New A/C compressor 3 months ago, no oil leaks, Including valve cover gaskets, top is in good condition and works fine, no pixels out on dash, no warning lights on, 2nd owner, southern car. Some say after 70K miles they start to be a money pit? Any thing else I need to look out for?
Thanks in advance

The best of the last true MBs before they bent over for Chrysler.

I would still recommend a PPI prior to purchasing.

GL.

Thanks Cindy and RPB. I bought the car. I will get the motor mounts checked out. One quick question..............Is changing/flushing the transmission fluid the same procedure on the W208 5 speed the same as the W209 7speed? I also have an 08 CLK 350.
Thanks in advance
cheers

I got mine at 118k, now at 136k, over the last 8 months. only thing has been a radiator, and then a short to the fan right when i did that. Also a driver's rear window regulator. The arm rest top rocker thing was stuck and wouldn't open. and some of the cheezy chrome plastic has been flaking.

Congrats on your new acquisition! I’m a bit **** when it comes to the trans fluid; i let the dealership or a local indy swap it out and do not have a lift. Def check w/ the dealership first on the proper procedure, but I found this post that should offer you some insight: https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...il-change.html

A new owner that makes a trans fluid change a priority is one that cares for their cars.

Thumbs up

Thanks rpb,

I have not picked up the car yet and have not had the chance to look through the books and records. I do not have a lift either, so I will have my indy mech do the work. I will keep you posted.
cheers
