CLK Kleenmann Headers on ebay
Hi everyone,
just wanted to give a heads up that Kleenmann has a few sets of headers for sale on ebay for $650, about a 100 less than where i have seen them at in the past ( I finally pulled the trigger myself).

Thanks for the heads up TMJ. Just how much work are you expecting this project will require?
I'm also concerned about clearance issues with the relatively small engine compartment, especially over the engine mounts. Would you be so kind as to keep us updated on the install?
I just bought an 03 clk55 AMG and am sorting out a bunch of little issues. Even so I'm thrilled with the car.

No problem. I am thinking that there will be some welding involving the down pipes to the secondary cats (primary will be removed)...i may buy some high flow cats from amazon (about $80) that have the O2 bung to replace the secondary on the car. I think i read there might be some modification involved on the driver side where the steering column is, but it isnt supposed to be anything major (anyone who has experience with this please chime in). I did buy the manifold gaskets, header seals, and copper nuts off of ebay for about $40. it might be a little bit before i get it installed but i will update thread with any relevent info as things move along. Please be advised, I am no gear head so I welcome all advice and constructive critism.

BTW, congrats on the new toy Proturner! I have had mine for a little over two years with a few issues (secondary smog pump died, SRS light on and heated seat on driver side wont work because two brown under the seat have been pulled out of the connector, i disconnected the power to the headrest because they would retract). I now have a small amount of fluid (oil) on the rear passenger side manifold that is causing a burning smell when i run the car for a while so i am hoping its just a gasket that is leaking and it is an easy fix. That said, i regret nothing and love the car. I havent done a lot but do have a eurocharge ecu tune and had SPEED43 customize and airbox for me.
