2002 CLK55 rotors & pads: Stock or aftermarket?

2002 CLK55's front rotors have a considerable lip on the edge, I'm surprised how much they're worn, will replace them sooner rather than later. I typically stick with with stock MB brake parts, but thought I'd check with forum members on alternatives. Good/bad experiences with rotors/pads that are supposed to be superior to stock? I don't mind the dust from the stock pads too much, I'm more concerned with stopping power than cosmetics or extended pad life.

Thanks
Mark

Many options for stock brake pads.I like some of the EBC pads for different purpose.
I just painted the Mono's on my coupe and put Ceramics to keep dust off the caliper paint and wheel refinish. They squeak at times though.
This forum has some age and many brake caliper/rotor swaps have been performed. I have not searched for the trick setup yet.
It may save the cost of replacement rotors with more options for drilled and slotted sport oriented rotors. Went with zimmermans last round.

Cheers, Gator

Last item I did front on my W208 CLK55 I got Akebono ceramic pads. No brake dust! Highly recommend those.

If it is a dd go stock. Buy them at fcpeuro and you never have to buy them again.
