Performance chips....do they work?
Do these chips really work or are they simply a waste of money?
I was considering one but I'm pretty skeptical of this kind of stuff.

Nope, no power gains can be made on a normally aspirated engine....the chip can move whatever power is available around the power band, but there's no way to make more power.
Chips can work on turboed and supercharged engines.

There are some good piggyback solutions for turboed and supercharged engines, but not for naturally aspirated ones.
However, chips that plug only into the OBD are usuall scam (I am not talking about flasher or programmer).
