The best size should be 19x8.5 f and 19x10 r. 20" would be too big. The wheels come with hub-centric adaptors. The front lip is about 1", the rear is about 2". The Ultra-lights are ultra-expensive, it costs USD9,000+/set.

Not really. The R230s have offsets in the 20's and the CLK55s have offets in the 30's. The wheels will stick OUT a bit too much.

Then..

Does 19'' UL for R230 has a deeper lip than the 19'' UL for W209?

Harris,

I of course bow to your knowledge of wheels and am in no way an expert - but...

Doesn't Carlsson use a 'hardware kit' (aka spacers) to fit wheels to various MB models? Wouldn't it be possbile to just get a different kit - and have these fit another MB? Or are the Ultra lights actually model specific?

Alex, you're correct. Carlsson uses hub-centric adaptors. I guess I have answered his questions incorrectly. He was asking if the "whole set" can be fitted on a CLK55. My interpretation of "whole set" includes the adaptors. Obviously you can buy the adaptors for the CLK and put them on, but you also have to buy the bolts as well. Hope this will clear things up a bit. Sorry for the confusion.
