SWC CAN wires
Hello All!
I am trying to swap out an aftermarket head unit in a recently purchased 2002 W208 CLK55 that originally had the COMAND 2.0. I am replacing it with a unit I had in my 2001 CLK430 That originally had the single din Becker unit (I guess). I had used a Crux module to keep the steering wheel controls functional. It had prewired connectors and the CAN connection on the CLK430 was just 2 wires in a connector by itself. It worked great. After swapping into the CLK55, I cannot find the CAN wires to tell the module to turn on the radio and make steering wheel buttons communicate with audio unit. I tried to splice in the black and black/white CAN wires and that didn't work. I was told by Crutchfield that on my model the CAN wires were brown and brown/red. I do not see any wires this color in the radio harness or any connectors to the original radio. I can splice the cigar lighter power wire to the accessory 12V on the radio harness and radio will work. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated!

Look for green and green/white. They should be twisted, and the one with the white stripe is CAN-high.
