W209 Clk 55 AMG Swap To M113K Engine
So im looking to swap engines from the stock m113 to m113k..
I know i need ECU from the m113k engine
As well as water and oil pump heat exchangers whatever im missing please LET ME KNOW, is my 5 speed tranmission safe to mate with the engine or should i seek the transmission as well? anyone know of any other parts i might need to effectively get the swap done?.. Fitment, Brackets any hose Fuel lines anything any help to the subject at matter will definitely help please chime in plan on getting this done by January- April 2020 would like to purchase a good m113k engine plus ecu asap so i want to know if i just need to find a dumped e55 that i can snag everything off or what...

The M113K has the same transmission (722.6) as M113s, so that part won't be a problem.
There are a few threads about the oil pump/pan being the main issue, but this isn't a horribly well documented swap. Both rare cars, with rare engines, and not getting any younger.

You can't just plug in an ECU from a different car, the car won't start, it's a theft relevant part and is VIN locked. The engine, trans, shifter, eis, cluster ecu's all must have the same VIN in them or else drive authorization isn't granted. You'd also need to use the engine harness from the k motor. You'd basically need an entire donor vehicle and you need knowledge on how these systems work with each other. You'd also need keys for donor vehicle and title for it if you ever want to get more keys. In the end it's be a lot of work and you're better off doing aftermarket supercharger setup on your current engine, or just buy the car the 55k came in.

Well i may have to do about it that way i don't want the manufacturer variations to me the e55 is too heavy do get max performance from the m113k.. I was gonna go the donor way seeing how i have a copart auction account and etc i should be able to find one forsure... My thing is from the donor what ALL will i need?? U have any idea ???

If u actually have done this or worked on a car similar I'd like to hear but waisting your time telling me how i should do it is pointless i know my options already thanks benzslo....

I just got started on a 03 CLK55. I have a 05 E55 113k to go in it.
Doing some basics repairs to the CLK now, suspension parts, interior water leaks. Going to do some maintenance on the engine that’s in the car and drive it some before we pull it out to sell it.
If you get started post up what you do to it.

Yeah I’ve seen the vids of their swaps. Not much to see besides engine shots and tire burnouts.
Yes all the normal bolt ons that’s done to my E55.
We’re building a weekend street car and plan to drag race it. Just shed some weight and keep the body stock.

Bump
Really wish we could get a more open dialogue going on this. I'm really interested in doing one of these too and have an extremely low mileage drivetrain awaiting. I have a Kleeman C55 and its quick dipping into the 7's in the 1/8 on true street tires. My M113k car is an SL and I will all too soon bump the 7.35 for roll bar needs and don't care to do that to a 19k mile convertible, plus interior space is a premium. So that leaves us with the CLK as the natural choice of 2 door, traditional brakes and suspension with enough room to add the necessary foll bar to take full advantage of the 113k potential. For a play car, I'd think clutchless pulley and block off for second throttle body. Adequate split cooling and good exhaust are musts. With standalone TCU being readily available......wondering about whether stand alone ecu might be the easiest route as Joe Ernst has achieved. Outside a mnor hurdle of dual plugs ( but no more than a Porsche or Hemi) we don't have too much fancy going on with VVT or such.

The dual plugs was easy to address. The bigger issue will be doing without all the CAN based items and things like traction control and ABS. If you think of it as a 1960's street/strip muscle car, then going standalone is AWESOME. If you think of it first and foremost as a Mercedes, then you'll probably be disappointed.

I'm doing the same thing! I have a 03/04 S55 I am looking at tomorrow and hopefully I like what I see so I can start. Are you doing this yourself? Their is a good thread here documenting someone's progression doing it. Or having a shop? I found 2 other people beside the one in Florida mentioned earlier. One guy in California who has a Facebook page called mercedes swap or something like that. The other is someone on here, he goes by Gregiobenz, his number is on here on one of the threads about this, he's in Colorado.

2005 E55 113K swap to a 2005 CLK 500
I'm actually in the middle of the swap now. I'm having issues getting it started, i swaped the ECU, EIS but I'm having an issue with the SAM module they are different so I'm stuck there. I can't swap the E55 one because they have different connections. If any one has any ideas please let me know. Thanks.

Did it work?
Hey, I know it's way after the original post. Hoping someone sees this. Were you able to do this? I have an 05 clk500 and have seen YouTube stuff with m113k in my same car.
