Steering adjustment and driver seat adjustment don't work after battery change
My 2004 CLK55 coupe has been sitting in storage for a few months and the battery completely died. It could not be jump started or trickle charged. I installed a brand new Mercedes OEM battery from the dealership, everything was very easy to install. However now the steering tilt/telescope controls are completely unresponsive, and the driver's seat controls are completely unresponsive. ( the motors are completely silent, not stuck, just dead ). I know for sure that the seat and steering controls were working at the time it went into storage, and I also know for sure that the steering controls worked during the time that we were trying to jump start the car. Everything else ( headlights, taillights, reverse lights, fog lights, windows, sunroof, electric mirrors, passenger seat controls, radio, etc) all work normally.
I haven't checked all of the fuses yet but some quick google and mbworld searching showed me that the driver seat and steering wheel adjustment both share fuse 21, but that fuse looks intact.
I was wondering if you guys have seen this before? Any ideas?
