"Authentic" AMG badge!
I know everyone was curious to see what the AMG badge that I have mentioned in my previous posts looked like, so I took a pic to show it off. It is not on the car yet as I want to get the windows tinted first, but here it is on a very nice backdrop!!

Amil,
I don't have any clue! I ordered it from a fellow board member that is in S. Florida, his name is Chris Siegle. If you would like more info. on it, e-mail him at sieglec@hotmail.com. He will e-mail you pics as he has two color schemes for this badge and both look very nice.

No longer car shopping...
Looks exactly like the one I had
Marcus - That looks like the badge that was so popular on this forum only a year ago. I bought mine off of ebay for around $20 bucks. It was heavy and made out of metal as well. Kind of an enamle finish. After I bought mine I too heard that it wasn't "authentic" but it does give you a good flat look. Do a search under "flat badge" and I think you'll find a lont of historical discussion on that badge including details on how to replace the stock one.

MarcuzBenz,
Is there a screw attached to the back of your badge that allows you to mount it on your hood? Or is is just a flat badge?
It appears to not have a screw since you placed it on top of the SLR brochure.

t-bone,
It does not have a screw on the back & will be mounted via an adapter kit that can be provided by Chris for the car that come with the raised star from the factor. Now, if the car comes with the flat star, like the coupes, you are provided 3M automotive adhesive to mount the badge on the hood.
