W209 CLK55 Throttle Response
Does anyone know of any 'canned' tune options similar to OETuning for the W209, or would I be looking at custom tuning if I decide to add headers?

If performed that then leaves you with just one setting , wheras SB has 18 , plus 3 valet modes ( limits power ) and a pedal lock ( extra layer of security ) .
I would seriously try before a tune as you probably will feel it doesn't need one after .

Btw, I’m using SB race mode 9 about 90% of the time, especially on windy back roads; oh and using paddle shifters (installed a later model E55 steering wheel) about 75% of the time. SB doesn’t make the shifting faster, it’s just the car feels much sportier, reacts instantly after the shift occurs. Careful in reverse.
Also, while in comfort mode just cruising about, highway, the car is livelier with new found “guts”.$300 and <15 minutes install!
For the price I paid ($350 for the custom tune + MyGenius) I'm very happy with the outcome. OETuning was super responsive and easy to work with.

Not sure on the stage 1/2 - just bought the tune from the sale ad which didn't specify a stage.
I tested with the Sprint Booster off and then with it on the various settings, I honestly am glad I got both. With the SB off, the car does have a stronger pull over 2,500 RPM’s in say 3rd and 4th gear; definitely has more guts. But w/ the SB on Race 9 setting along with the tune, the car has instant power, really feels like it has another 100+ lb-ft of pull. I had a lot of fun hitting the local country back roads, and btw, in manual shift. I had to rein myself in; getting dark, deer about.👍
Curious - do you also notice a big difference in your performance based on the weather? Usually when I’m out it’s high 80s to low 90s. Finally got to take it out last night when it was cool with no humidity. Honestly felt like it would’ve picked up half a second in the quarter mile. Didn’t expect such a wild difference on an NA car.

Not to derail the thread but has anyone put any thought in the transmission....for the 722.6 anyway? I've been thinking about a valve body upgrade. I heard about VRPspeed through a YouTube vid and I'm kicking around the idea of giving it a shot to improve the shifting. I was initially looking at the ones offered by southernhotrod.com but heard the deceleration downshifts were on the harsh side.
