CLK55 carpet
Dealer no longer sells carpets for the CLK55, does anyone know of a source (seems as tho I have looked everywhere) for black or very dark grey full interior carpets for this car? You can email me at csilcoupe@msn.com if you would like. Appreciate any help, damned mice have done their number on my otherwise perfect carpeting. I suppose if I cannot find any (nothing on eBay at the moment) replacing the backing and a good steam cleaning might have to suffice. Even very good used carpets would be considered.

Salvage yard. Craigslist or EBay. Maybe check the listings on here. Or if you do not care have some all season mats put down from weathertech

Thanks buddy, they look new, bought them right away, just hope the don't smell as bad as mine do. Unreal what mice can do to a car no matter what precautions one takes to prevent the pesky little critters.

Don't have the parts yet but I have to give plaudits to ebay name salvageparts631 for their help and answering my questions about odors in the carpet, since its used and they were prompt and courteous with their replies. They appear to have lots of W209 parts so take a look if you have looked everywhere else for what your car needs.
BTW, anybody know of a reasonably priced CLK63 black series? Love to have one of those for my collection.

If you had a critter party behind the dash, who knows what those B****rds chewed on?
Looks like an expensive dealer job if they are going to inspect the car behind the dash?
Any car will eventually have party critters feast on wireloom and other stuff sharpening their teeth.
Haven't noticed any damage on my car yet.

Actually that has yet TBD, but at least the insurance company is paying for the whole thing. Everything works so I am not sure there is any wiring damage. We shall see.
