My best ET was 12.1@116.9 but this was without any power braking (temp was about 70). I tried power braking up to 1k rpm and spun like crazy off the line and trapped 117.4 My best trap so far is (only been to the track twice with this car) 118.03mph with a 12.4 ET I cant wait for some cool temps and well prepped track, i'm going for 11's! Anybody know of a CLK55 with better times? Oh yea, and this was with FULL interior, including the spare.

Damn Ahmed!
those r wicked #'s. Fastest modded N/A CLK55 I know running here is owned by PTE he ran a 12.6 @ 111mph.(cams,headers,exhaust,filters,thermostat,Kl eeman ECU)

I ran my best ET at the Atlanta Meet (13.341 @106) versus 13.349 previously. My best trap remains 109.00.

Never seen a W208 (modded or not into the 11s). You could be the first BB!

What is this talk of holding the "bone stock" w208 title? Doesn't Chappy have 265/35/18s out back? That ain't stock.

Once you start modding, where does it end? Kleemann, that's where!
It looks like that K treatment has given Blankbenz the overall title for the moment ... but I'm surprised that with over a second faster ET than the stock N/A engine he doesn't have a higher trap speed.

Is he getting heat soak on the top end? That seems to be what happend to the max out Kleemann E55 that got smoked in Gustav's M5 video. But in the 208 setup the boost is only .45 bar or 6.3 psi, no?

Keep it going, guys ....

And post video!

Carl, thats an amazing time for N/A CLK55! I thought the Kleemann s/c runs at 0.5 bar which is 7 PSI but I could be wrong. I have a crappy video from friday night (taken by a female). I was running my friends low 10s DSM Talon. He ran a 10.4 on this pass (I know its horrible footage) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wzENiakVZ8
I will be changing the heat exchanger for a custom spearco setup which should help with the heat soak and hopefully give me a nice power boost. I also ordered an eisenmann race exhaust last week (dont know if I will mount this or go with cutouts). I may take the pulley to a machine shop and trim it down for more boost

This should definitely help alot. I'm very curious about the install! Keep us posted Ahmed. I feel you should be running mid to low 11's after all is said and done.

!
does not matter. if anything the bigger heavier mono block 18's should slow Chappy down and it does'nt. So it's irrelevant as far as the 1/4 mile run is concerned!

I see your point. 18s are not "stock"...drag radials aren't either.

However, my 13.349 @ 109.00 was done on my stock 17s (245/40-17).

These are the facts:

1. Carl will never catch me.

2. Owen will never catch me.

3. BB ownz us all!!!

I'm also running the 18" monoblocks which are in fact HEAVIER than stock wheels. I did put 275's in the rear for my 12.1s pass though I'll keep you posted with the progress Carl. I'm going to go and try to take measurements right now.

I'm very tempted by your setup.....I keep reminding myself that my warranty doesn't expire until June '09!

What kind of warranty do you have?

I bought the 3yr/100K premium factory extended warranty within the first 12 months of ownership (I bought my 55 new). My 4yr./50K warranty ended in June, and this one kicked in. I worried about expensive things like the pneumatic seats and all the computers, etc. It covers all the major components except the radio and CD changer.

Zero deductible and they use Mercedes-Benz parts. Good at any MB dealership nationwide.

Ahmed,

Have you considered ditching the Kleemann suspension for a setup like Speedybenz has? I think it will work on the 208, same as it does on the 202s. I gotta admit....after getting a ride in Steve's C55 monster, I've thought about the swap on occasion, but it ain't cheap either!
