Evosport! Help me~
ok I just bought the pulley kit for my car.
What is the installation process?
Local guys are saying different things.
Please tell me how you install it.
My car is W209 and there is no other engine mod.

OK, the install is pretty simple. You just replace factory parts with ours. Alternator usually needs an air gun to brake loose the nut that holds alternator pulley. Water Pump pulleys is simple four bolt bolt on. Power steering will need a pilley puller that is very common mechanics tool.
If your mechanic still has questions have him call on Monday - 714.901.3100.

05 ML-500 , 03 CLK5.5 AMG has left the Garage
under drive pulley set,Install
Just for Grins , I installed a set of these pulleys on my 03 CLK 5.5 AMG. I did check the Quality of the workmanship ,, So I put them on the Lathe and found them to be very straight , no wiggle. Precision made and too within .0005 And Thats Excellent!
The installation was pretty straight forward , A little bit of a pain ,because I left the alternator mounted to the engine and No removal of assys.. The alternator pulley nut was on TIGHT!! It took a strap wrench and a 24"breaker bar too get it loose . Once that was done , the pulley slid right off the stator winding shaft. The water pump pulley is a no brainer!!. The Power steering pump pulley , removal & install is touchy??
To do this part of the JOB right , you will need a K-D Tools , Pulley remover/ installer Set. Part Number
K-D 2897 . I brought mine at the local NAPA store . Expect to pay about $83.00 Or Borrow one. This kit works the best.I looked at several types & Manufacture of R & R Kits Snap-On , Mac . The K-D fits better and will not damage the OEM or the EVO pulley. Sometimes the auto parts stores have a loaner / rental tool program.
This part must be done Right!! Remember it is a poly vee / serpentine type belt and must have perfect pulley alignment. Or you will throw the belt on short order.
The job took about 3 hours, a beer break .and 2 scraped knuckles. Can be done on any Saturday afternoon
I then dynoed the car. I picked up about 8 hp in the mid range , but only 2 hp above 5000 rpm Was it worth it YES!! I will take the increase. A Hp here , a HP there adds up at the day. It's tough to measure the rate of acceration on the Dyno. I just had to remember that this motor does not always respond with BIG inprovements , like the claims made for American built engines. You can race DYNO' all day long, But the history is made at the track
