M156 Intake Manifold Out of stock Everywhere
So yesterday my beloved 34K mileage CLK63 started having a bit of a slight shake once I got onto the highway. I immediately took it to a local indy to get it checked out and it turns out the intake manifold needs to be completely replaced. Expensive at $3700 for parts and labor, but whatever.
Today I received a dreaded call that the assembly is literally out of stock in all of the US as well as Germany. I'm unable to find a replacement online that isn't a nasty one from a much higher mileage car.
I noticed on FCPEURO.com that in their 'common issues' for the M156 engine they listed that this part is notoriously out of stock.
My question for you fine folk is two-fold:
1. Has anyone else run into this back-ordered issue recently (post-covid delays), and how long did it take to sort out/come back into stock?
2. Is there a reasonable alternative to this? Salvage can be hit or miss (still open to it), but maybe a rebuild at a machine shop or anything of the sort?
The shop also said they can do an adhesive that I assume is JB weld or something as a bandaid for $1200, but down the road, I'll still need to pony up $3700 for the permanent fix, taking the grand total to $4900. No CEL yet - just me noticing something off and the wife saying she thought it needed an alignment.
Any advice would be appreciated. For me, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Thanks!

I found a new one, unfortunately not OEM, at PartsGeek. Here's the url: https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/20..._manifold.html
I'll search a little more.....
