One of my clients needed a TCU for his 55 so I sold him my Eurocharged TCU.
I replaced it with a brand new module from V TECH in Georgia (eastern europe).
I can honestly say the car drives just great and I think it is less glitchy.
Price is also a major consideration here as you can keep your original module for their
$310 delivered price.

 

I heard about V Tech a couple times now, all positive. How is the daily driving experience?

 

With some serious miles on the VTECH TCU I can confidently say it performs better in every way than the Eurocharged version and if you are still driving
a stock TCU you are literally punishing yourself with the awful stock programming.

Anything specific you recommend or I should know, or is it just the matter of sending them money and plugging in the new unit?

 

I think I pp'd and got the TCU within a week. 10 minute easy install.
your old tcu could have value depending on model#...

 

Did you contact them prior to purchase? They haven’t been responding.
Which model should I be selecting? I was thinking its either the w203 or the w209...

Maybe on vacation. He was extremely prompt with communication and perfect English.
I suspect the TCU's are the same but I went W209.

Back in the day all I recall is that the stock S mode was downright uncomfortable.
This tune really makes good use of the 5 speed and the only time it sees C mode is
weather...
