I finally had some time to clean her up when it wasn't raining.
Great lighting in the second picture.

sweet...
VERY sweet looking car. I love the silver on the 55s. My last two cars were silver so i decide to go black on this one. I think i've seen your car around town, plus one or two black 430 cabs. THanks for the pics and i cant believe they fixed the rust for that cheap (i have a small rust spot on my trunk as well). Nice wheels too, i love the monoblocks on the w208, very muscular.

I haven't even owned the car for a month yet but I love it. I like to buy my cars a year or two old, to avoid the huge depreciation hit, while taking my time to find a well cared for car. I looked for several months at just about everything out there, BMW M3, BMW 330iZHP, CLK500, CLK430, Volvo S60R, Audi S4, Audi TT, Porsche 911 (993), Honda S2000, Infiniti G35 coupe and more, looking is half the fun.
In the end I am completely satisfied with my purchase. When I feel like driving hard, the car can dance, or just cruise in comfort without beating up the passengers.
The CLK55 is very impressive, I bought the car for the performance and handling to be honest. I just love muscle cars. But all the luxury amenities make this muscle car so easy to live with. I continue to be impressed every time I drive it, from the awesome power on tap, flat cornering, powerful brakes, high quality leather, etc, etc. When the roads are slick from rain I switch the traction control OFF and power slide my way around corners with a huge smile on my face. Of course I could do that without the wet roads but then I’d be buying tires every other month. Wet roads = Guilt free over steer
. This is one GREAT car.

2005 CL55
Very nice! I like the ideas of yours. I am more of a new-car less then 50 miles buyer. But I have to admit my next purschase might not be done my usual way, and I'll be keeping (2004 clk55 black and my wife drives the 2005 clk55 pewter) for a while. If you have read my thread (2005 clk55 Buyers Beware) you might understand my apprecation of your thread! So for me now its time to focus on moding my 2004 starting with a new set of HRE's. I'll post images on the image thread.
Nice job!
