Spring Pad Purchase...Where?

I have finally located a local shop that I feel comfortable with and the price is not to bad. I have the HR springs and adjustable Konis. Where is the best place, other than the dealer to purchase spring pads? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ordered mine through the dealer. I think they were $15 for all.

That being said, you may look here:

Ok...I figured that the cost through a dealer would be out of control. If that is the price range I will just get them through the dealer.

Ok....just got off the phone from the idiots at the dealer. It always amazes me that these people have a job. You would think they would have some sort of basic knowledge of these vehicles. If they cant see it on the computer in front of them...they cant order it or find it. The parts guy told me the only pads that are available are the size that came on the vehicle. This of course after I told him what spring pads were. He then proceeded to ask if they were for the suspension. He then asked me where I got information that these pads were available in different sizes. Amazing. OK...."chappy" checked that website out and could not locate them on the site. Anyone have any suggestions?

2002 E55 - Tectite
Drivewerks.com

I got spring pads and H&R springs for my 560SEC from Drivewerks.com. It was the cheapest place on the internet for H&R's. I believe they carry spings and pads for all Mercedes models. Check it out.

Here to help

You need to decide what spring pad thickness you want (yes there are several options). I did a search on this forum and found the following thread that lists all the correct part numbers for your application. Pick what you want, then phone the dealer or your preferred parts guy and order them by the part number. Voila!

Look here....

Chappy.......thanks for the info. Maybe the parts can actually look it up with a number. Now I need to just figure out which pads to use.
