Hey, so I've got what could be a dumb question, will the stock 17in wheels that come on the 2003 55 fit if I install bilstein B8 and h&r lowering springs? Or will I need spacers? I read that coilovers required spacers to clear on the stockies.

Thanks

Amg.......

You may want to compare the height of your oem struts/shocks with the Bilsteins B8. You will find the B8 are approx. 1/2" shorter than OEM measurements. I installed B6's four years ago and they were 1/2" shorter than my oem's.

Let this forum know what you find........

Good luck....

If I am reading your post correctly you are asking if the stock wheels you have now will work if you lower the vehicle? That answer is yes. The rotating mass of the wheel will not change when you lower; caliper clearance will remain the same.

Yea I was just thinking about the wheel offset being to high. The coilover guys seemed to have issues and needing spacers, I'll be installing the new stuff soon.
thanks

I had flush 18"s on mine with coil overs and it was fine.

Yea I ended up lowering it on bilstein shocks and h&r springs with 18ins. Looks pretty nice now.

My assumption would be that the aftermarket springs will have the same diameter as the OEM ones. If that is the case, I see no reason why the springs would not clear the wheels.
I also reason no reason why the Bilstein shock towers would not clear either.
