Pics of my BS

I'm really liking this car. The handling is really great now after I lowered and aligned the car. My HRE's will be here next week. 275's in front and 305's in the rear, I can't wait. I removed the resonators, they are the smallest resonator I've ever seen on a Benz. The car sounds the way it should now.

Beautiful! Best of luck with it. If you can get a sound clip up that would be awesome.

Simply beautiful!

Two questions:

1. What HRE series did you get and what size? Specs?
2. Do you have a sound clip of that car?

I think you're the first person i know that has removed the resonators on that car.

HRE M40 19x9.5 & 19x10.5. No sound clips yet. I need a good camcorder first.

What was involved in removing the resonators? Does it drone at highway speeds?
What parameters did you use for lowering? I would really appreciate knowing how much the car was lowered- for example, what is the new height of whatever front and rear reference point you used (typically the top of the front and rear wheel arch)? What allignment specs? Who did the work? Thanks AS

Removing the resonators is easy. Any good exhaust shop can do it. There is zero droning at any speed. I lowered the front and rear 1/2" each. I could not go any lower unless I broke off the metal piece on the shock. I also would have hit the front sway bar link. I added more toe-in on the alignment. There are no adjustments on this car for camber, which is stupid. I hope with the wider rubber will make the car stick even more. I am also doing a Renntech ecu and Renntech headers. If you notice in the pictures, I also painted the front grille black and my side markers. I might de-chrome the car all together.

Very nice man - congrats !! I think yours is one of the only other Black Series in LA besides mine. I think I saw yours the other day and theres a silver one that is down the street from me. Anyway, I'd love to hear yours with the resonators removed. I was thinking of doing the same...do you get more raw sound with more pops and cracks ?? That's what I'm hoping...
Shoot me a PM if you'd like to get together sometime. Merry Christmas !!

The pops and cracks are incredible in 2nd and 3rd gear coming down from 5,000 rpm's. I'll shoot you a pm to meet up. We should take some photos of the cars together. It would be fun to get as many BS in one place and take a group shot.
