I am running 19x11 rears with 305's and my car islowered an additional inch lower than stock.

 

I know, I saw your car at Evosport. The Dymags have a different off set than the HRE's which allows you to go to 11" and 305's. My car is also lowered, but unless HRE changed the off set on the rears, 11" and 305's won't fit. You also have 10" in the front with 275's and my front HRE's are 9.5" with 275's. Again, different off set.

 

They are building a different offset thanks to you jrcart!!! Before i joined the forum, i was just browsing through other peoples BS with wheels and i found your car, and i showed them 11" rims with a 305, and they told me they will make it for me. Its going to take about 3 weeks they said. I also have new hypercoil springs on mine which i lowered on the stock wheels.

 

Are they building you 19's or 20's? I just received mine, 20x9.5 20x11 w/ 305/25 rear. Love em! Check my other post for a pic.

 

I ordered them in a 19". I did this only because i spoke to a couple tire manufacturers and they said they will build 19" drag radials soon. They only company that makes a 20" drag radial is nitto and its a little to big for the clk's. For now i got a set of Toyo road race tires which i hear work well out of the hole also.

 

Does anyone know if Tony Kanaan still has his Black Series?

 

Last I heard was yes. I guess its a popular car amongst the Indycar drivers (or at least was at one time). I heard Helio had one, sold it, and shortly there after was looking to buy a used one. We all know about Graham Rahals that he sold earlier this year. And I heard Tommy Kendall was looking for a used one.

 

That is a pretty big compliment for the CLK63 Black Series, when some of the worlds most talented drivers (who could buy ANYTHING they want) choose to own one.
