Thinking about getting one but!!

Yes, I do. The only time it's tough is when the tires need to be replaced. Then you replace them and the comfort ride returns.
Okay, not really a a comfort ride, but if ride quality is your primary issue, go for the CLK 63 cabrio, it has most of the power, the top drops and it's a cushy ride.

It would make a great daily driver, except I just noticed your location, the Michigan winters will not be kind to you. Now if you meant summer daily driver, go for it

I think I would know considering I have one...Do a Google search for "dooley" - none of the results on the first page have anything to do with trucks. Then search for "dually" and almost all the results are for trucks with DUAL REAR WHEELS. Sorry, but even though "dooley" is used by some, the spelling you refer to is a common misconception by those who spell it phonetically. It may be pronounced that way, but it's not spelled that way and it has nothing to do whatsoever with a "colloquialism ". Common colloquialisms are words such as "ya'll" "gonna" and "wanna" and refer to words not used in formal speech, yet based on geograpical dialect.

Correct spelling duly noted. This needn't degenerate to a duel.
Now back to the question. I drive my car thru 3 seasons, but the absence of a readily available snow tire makes it impossible in our lake-effect snow zone. Tire Rack did not a have a rim to fit my car that would also fit a readily available snow tire (the engineer put it on their special rack, and measured all the dimensions with a laser.
It would have been great if 18" wheels could be used, but they can't due to interference with a steering knuckle. So, I drive my 996 tt instead. For 10 years, I drove a BMW 850 CSI on 4 Blizzaks thru the snow without problem. It had no more grip or ground clearance (after the lowering springs) than the BS, so with the right rubber, it is do-able.
For all non-snow use, the car is best on Bridgestones, which have greater tolerance to cold pavement. If it could be used in winter, would that make a BS "dual purpose"
(did I get 5 uses of the word in there?) AS

I know you have a one, you bought it second hand and have had it all of five minutes- hardly the expert. Also, you need to learn how to spell before attempting to hand out grammar lessons.

Uh, yeah....this is my THIRD diesel and second dually. I've had this one over a year. As usual, Carl, you stick your foot in your mouth....I do my best to correct and EDUCATE you without making it personal....and your response is that I bought it second hand and have only owned it five minutes ?? LOL - I wasn't aware that length of ownership and being an expert had anything to do with knowing the CORRECT spelling for what you drive. Sorry, but over a year and five minutes aren't the same thing you moron. Lastly, please show me where I need to learn how to spell.....my "geograpical" misspelling above was a simple typo/keystroke error as my keyboard is dying. Sorry, but you're gonna have to do better than that.
How many truck links did you get when you ran a Google search for "dooley", genius ?

Nah, not making it personal and no foot in my mouth big fella. You're the one who can't go a day on this forum without *****ing out someone, it's pathetic. I wasn't referring to the misspelling above. One example is that you're unable to spell "lose" or "loser," which is rather ironic. To remind you, it is spelt with one "o," two of them would mean something needs tightening because it is loose. Can't blame that on typo, you do it every time but I haven't bothered to mention it. So, I wouldn't say I'm the moron, that's first grade stuff. You're gonna have to do better than that.
You crack me up man. So, you don't even own an AMG yet come here to correct my spelling ??? Seems the only LOSER here is you, pal. So, now that is TWO searches you need to do since you refuse to answer my qestion about the Google search for "dooley". I just went to the advanced search page, keyword "LOOSER" with my username in all open forums. Here was the result:
"The following errors occurred with your search:
Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. "
Sorry dude. Please provide me with a link where I have spelled loser with two O's. Or, did you stick your foot in your mouth again and think I was using a "colloquialism".

You're correct, I don't own an AMG.
There are dozens of examples of you writing "loose" when you meant "lose" in your post history but I'll leave the searches for you to waste your time on. You do such a lovely cut and paste job and now you also know the proper spelling.
Now, everyone knows you demand the last word but I don't think there's any need for this to get personal

You da man Luke. AS far as I am concerned, you are very knowledgeable ( i think thats misspelled) about cars, and I always enjoy your input and find it to be correct and usefull. Just poking a little fun at ya. No offense, I hope.
