What does the black compare to?
205 with just the delimiter removed according to BMW's official statsAs Luke said, the M5s high revving engine and F1-style gearbox do not work for everyone in a mid-size sedan weighing exactly 4000lbs. However, no other sedan comes close to the focus and attention to detail as the BMW and this makes for the perfect "do everything" vehicle....

On the highway, the CLK BS probably runs a little slower than the E63 (itself slower than the M5) due to it's wide bodykit optimized for trackday duty.
It takes a 65-series car run with the fixed roof V10 Ms (the M6 convertible is 400lbs heavier than the M5 and not as fast), even though the 383lbs of torque may not make it feel as quick as it is. But yes, below 5,000rpm there is NOTHING going on...
the clk will drive its owner to the track, run hard all day and then take its owner home in comfort... Yes other cars can do this, but few do it as well
Last time at the track, i just left it in full auto, and it was fine.
Andy Pilgrim was there, and he took the car for 4 hot (did I say HOT) laps. He didn't touch the paddles either. I don't think I would have been faster with a DSG, and I didn't miss having one. AS

Huhh? Where did you get that emperical data? My experience with several track encounters M6's was a slaughter both in handling and acceleration.
Is the M5 so much more aero than the M6 that I've been picking on the wrong cars? I've run 997 turbo's on the autobahn from 70 to 170 which kill M5's even by Gustov's slanted vids and I didn't come up second.
You know some cars can get to 200 mph...eventually but the race is over at 130.
