I just can't justify the buy without at least SEEING one or driving as a passenger in one. I will find a way!

I've almost had enough Vodka to bet you $100 bucks that you'll say after the fact you'd wished you would have done as I suggested....... almost..

Good luck, I don't blame you for wanting to do that. I'm glad I didn't. 367 vs. an infinite (relatively speaking of course) number of GT3s.......

I'm buying mine without a test drive. I did go to see it, just to make sure it was as clean as I expect and want ... it was.

I finally got my financing in place and now the seller had to leave town for the weekend ... looks like early next week for me

My buddy had one for a short time, I never rode in it ... he now says it's the ONLY car he has regret selling ... and he has many super exotics.

Precisely the reason I never followed through with selling mine. almost irreplaceable. You can always buy another GT3.....

Disagree! I just haven't hit your number yet!

Silver is the fastest, but white ... how good can a car look?
(Apologies to the Reds, Blacks and Obsidians.)

I can't tell you how many cars I've bought and imported from the UK and Europe based on pix and a surveyors report...

Never disappointed and always surprised when I cleared them through customs at the port !!

I would seriously suggest you search the Mercedes CPO website...
Mercedes Benz Financial Services was doing 1.99% max 66 months on any 2008+ CLK, including the BS...better then paying cash !!!
CPO will give you an added year of warranty, and you can buy more if you desire...

Go for it....you won't be disappointed...

I see the BS as a "buy and hold" car...meets all the parameters for eventual appreciation...

Damn that makes it incredibly tempting. My credit is more than good to qualify for something like that as well. Perhaps I'll just put the Lotus up for sale!

The financing was what convinced me, along with the CPO...
Usually prefer a outright cash purchase but with only 10% down and 1.99% for 66 months, the return on the cash still in my pocket offsets a major portion of the monthly payment...

Go for it...I've owned Mercs since I purchased my 300CE new in May of 1988 ( still have it, 66K miles, period twin turbo and currently being built as a widebody "tribute' to "1AMG" )

The BS will be the sixth Merc that I currently own...

Try to buy low production or import to the USA..
The new BS, along with the C43 and the E320 Cab are all under 1000 USA market production.
The 300CE and the G55K have production numbers under 2000.

Buy, keep and drive it like you stole it....which shouldn't be too hard to do !!

Yeah I was considering putting quite a bit down just to keep the payments a little lower like under $1k. I really love the idea of CPO and potentially extending the warranty a bit as well.

Only thing that sucks is that 1.99% is only good until 3/1!

DRATS..!!!!!

They may continue it due to the market..

$70K @ 1.99% for 66 months = $1115.00

Typical rate is 5.90%, but Penfed ( you must join ) Credit Union is around 3.99%

1.99% is almost like free money...

If they extend it that will certainly be helpful! Don't think I can pull it off in under 48hrs.

That being said I totally agree, a rate that low is absolutely absurd and worthwhile.

Jeeze-o-pete ... now that the seller has been paid, I needed to be out of town on business. I'll be home Thursday night and Friday I'll be driving my very own Silver CLK Black Series.

I know the feeling...been waiting about three weeks to have the BS trucked up to me...

East Coast weather has caused the delays...

While it's still in North Carolina, I'm having 3M Scotchgard film installed over the front end, wheel arches, lower skirts and the lower rear apron...

I also have a question for lucky CLK63 BS owners. Is there a possibility to travel with skis somehow in this vehicle? Is there any ski-bag or ski-rack avaliable? Or is it possible to just arrange an open hole from the trunk to the cabin?

Skis? No ski bag. And nope, no way to get a "hole" not "whole" through the solid impenetrable steel wall between the trunk and cabin. You'll have to settle for a Tahoe or a subbie!

What about ski-rack? Is there a possibility to install one?

This winter I had an experience of travelling with my skis in 911. So Tahoe is not the only way...
