A smell coming from the rear of car...
I know what oil, antifreeze, brakes, and tires smell like when they burn...and this one is a little more unique. It simply smells like something is burning a bit. No warning lights, just a faint smell upon stopping. Is this my parking brake getting burned as per the other complaints? Or maybe my diff? Anyone else have anything similar?

there was a time when a huge plastic bag was stuck underneath the exhaust which caused the bag to melt. Could that be it?

Good call...I had min replaced with the updated heatshielding. Or, if you were driving your car hard....the read dif has an overflow at the top and mine spilled a bit of gear oil onto the exhaust. That might have been the smell also. Look under the rear end, passenger side, and look for black stains on the exhaust...thats the tell tale sign...
