Celebrating 19,000 miles

Actually on track when it passed that milestone.

Hope that happens every thousand miles.

Thanks Sascha, it's funny how it just looks like a Sunday drive on the video and yet I'm on the outer edge of my skill level.

Mike, everything looks easier from the outside looking in. It's a big difference being actually behind the wheel and feeling everything the car is doing. When you have pretty much only mechanical grip available with minimal aero help in a relative heavy car, it's not that easy and won't look as fast. But it is a lot of fun hanging out the tail

They broadcast the track status on 88.9 and I thought I missed a call.

That red thing was a 997 GT2!
Oh wait ... the evidence suggests it was more likely a 996 C2 (I hope at least an S).

I'm considering a dedicated track car. Something cheap and replaceable, unlike a Black Series!

Cut your teeth on a spec Miata or race prepped Boxster and work your way up to a Cup Car

I'm with ya'!
I'd love a sequential with 8,500 rpm's and what 2,700 pounds?

Last weekend I hitched a track ride in a 7GT3 RS. It really made me wonder why I'm pushing 4,150 pounds around the track.

And then I thought about driving home and the smooth ride in the Black Series ... at least compared to the RS.

DFW,
Nice video, what camera were you using? Second question, do you left foot brake?

It's a Contour HD camera.
This was the first vid that I used the suction/window mount and beyond fixing the noise level, I was happier with the outcome than when it was helmet mounted.

I tried left footing when I first tracked it, but it never seemed to get the desired result.
Left foot = dead pedal now.

Thought you might want to turn up that Bee Gees' song up....

......that's funny! I think it was one of the new GT2 RSs!!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!!! Right?
