Out of curiousity..why consign it to a Ferrari dealership?

Wouldn't consignment to a Merc dealer give better exposure and probably more knowledge of the BS?

That does sound like it would make the most sense ... only I didn't have a lot of time to do a lot of research. I only checked the MB dealers near by to see what they would pay for it. None of them offered to sell it on consignment. I know the people at the Ferrari/Masserati dealer so felt confident that we would be treated fairly.

Most MB dealers will not sell something on consignment, unless you are friend of the owner or are a "really" good customer. The "higher" end exotic dealers however are usually more willing to help. GLWS, car looks immaculate.

I have a very good friend working for a BMW dealership and have in the past consigned a couple of Porsche's and BMW's with them. They also sell used Ferrari's, Maserati's and Aston Martin's among other high line cars. I felt confident leaving the car with them, because the car was parked on the showroom floor and was only taken out for a test drive after a deal was made. It always worked out for me, and the last Porsche I sold through them took less than 2 weeks. My E46 M3 sold the very next day.

OP: Nice car ..... GLWS

That's a great price for a low mileage black series. Good luck!
