Euro Cars Only
You think you got it bad?
I live in Switzerland and what we pay here for cars is really a monstrosity.
I quickly did a search on our local auto trade site (autoscout.ch), typed in clk 63 and the cheapest is listed at 69k. Now a black series? Let see... 124k & I am talking in $ not CHF. Live is a ***** on this side of the atlantic that is why you see plenty of cars with American plates. Can't wait to move back to the U.S where life is cheap!!

BUMP, the car now has BRAND NEW Corsa tires on her and is ready to go for the next owner. And as a bonus, because I need this car to be on its way to the new owner, I am lowering the price to 74,500

The current exchange rates of the Euro and Pound vs the Dollar probably does not help matters, a weak Dollar means bigger bargains here in the states. Back in the 80's and 90's it was the exact opposite, stuff in most of Europe was dirt cheap, Americans could take 5 star vacations at 2 and 3 star prices. Simple economics actually. Anyone remember the auto industry in the 70's, LOL I don't but I've read about it, a company called Honda took America by storm all due to cheap labor and an insanely unbalanced exchange rate. Now the yen is on par with the Dollar and a Honda costs more than a Ford. I've heard that BMW in the 90s made their highest profit margins per vehicle in the US, now they barely break even on most cars sold in the US because they have to discount them due to the poor exchange rate, nobody is going to pay $60k for a 328I but they will pay $45k
