Selling the Black Series

Car is Obsidian Black, 15k miles and has the ipod connect. The car also has a clearbra so has been protected from chips.

Want 78k for it as I am moving to a 997TT. Open to trades.

Wicked!! I am not sure that I could make that change (even having previously been a Porsche owner). The new 997 Twin Turbo is wicked fast, but the rarity and 'in your face' style of the CLK63 Black Series would trump that in this case. Enjoy though! Both cars are amazing!

I'd love to do an E550 Coupe + cash in a trade but alas I need a backseat for my 3yo daughter. Gorgeous car....good luck.

$75k is good money for a 15k mile car (that's what I have now) ... I think you'll get it.

Was just looking at asking prices for the BS online, and it seems as if the prices have slightly increased recently. Anyone else noticed this?

Dont mean to reapeat myself or anyone else on this, but prices for black series will go up as people crash theirs and the numbers of clean original / stock examples become far and in between, these cars will go up in value. This is just my opinion. IT may be wishfull thinking but my gutt feeling is that these cars (original / stock examples ) will be worth what we paid for them in the not too distant future.

I agree with you but that not too distant future will be more like 10 years.

The CLK BS is one of the very few cars that will go down in history as one of the greatest cars ever built.

Every car in the UK costs significantly more than the same car in the US, even Range Rovers. Being right hand drive you would think have something to do with it, but then car buyers in mainland Europe pay even more than in the UK. I forget exactly but in Germany a new M3 costs close to what people were paying for a new CLK63BS over here. Crazy.

Edit...Sechsgang, g/l with sale, clean car.

The current exchange rates of the Euro and Pound vs the Dollar probably does not help matters, a weak Dollar means bigger bargains here in the states. Back in the 80's and 90's it was the exact opposite, stuff in most of Europe was dirt cheap, Americans could take 5 star vacations at 2 and 3 star prices. Simple economics actually. Anyone remember the auto industry in the 70's, LOL I don't but I've read about it, a company called Honda took America by storm all due to cheap labor and an insanely unbalanced exchange rate. Now the yen is on par with the Dollar and a Honda costs more than a Ford. I've heard that BMW in the 90s made their highest profit margins per vehicle in the US, now they barely break even on most cars sold in the US because they have to discount them due to the poor exchange rate, nobody is going to pay $60k for a 328I but they will pay $45k

I am not sure why, but this made me chuckle to say '...too bad its black...' for a car called a Black Series. Just some irony I guess.
