I know Jim plans on updating the board about his build; but as he has said in other threads.... it was running behind schedule. I'll leave it to him to discuss the details, but I do know that is isn't finished yet.

Hello Jim!
I'm very interested in the overall installation. and how it looks & fitment within the motor bay. If you ever get a chance Take some pictures & pass them on. As you know I love custom brackets & powder paint!
What really seams cool . would be the absents of the blower whine. Stay cool & Cheers _PTEngineering

Last Saturday I looked at another CLK63 BS with the supercharger installed. Instead of looking at the stock intake runners, you see the top of the charger now. Unless you know what your looking at, it's pretty stealth . Altogether, a very clean installation.

Hey Jim..... when are you going to post dyno sheets? Is the car done yet or are they still work on it?

Saw Jim's car as well . Since the work performed on his engine is way more complex and extensive, it takes a little longer.

My supercharger is being shipped to Australia on Thursday, about 3 weeks late. I dont know if weistec have been swamped with orders or the expectation management system just completely blows
WHo will be doing the install for you? Congrats on the purchase. I will let you do the testing and if all goes well, we may have another charger coming down under

Lot's of supercharger choices out this week. I can't believe that all of a sudden there's choices with this car. How's the weather out there for a track day this weekend?

Guys, I know I promised everyone some answers last Thursday however the car was not done yet when I arrived therefore I had nothing to post. This is NOT a Weistec issue, Steve and the guys at Weistec have been busting their butts since Sunday afternoon to pull this thing together for me so the car and I can attend the Famoso event on Friday. I will post more info when it's available but in the mean time please don't assume this is a Weistec issue becuase they have been great and none of the delays are a result of anything they have done or not done.

Where is the delay at? is it the heads?

Rich like all I am interested.

Going to the SC Jim will lose the tuning gains from the Evosport stage 2 tune as that needs to be reconfigured for the SC. Based upon my 550 base, Jim's carbon wheels give him 25 RWHP, the heads give another 60 and cams another 15, he should be in the 650 region....just my uninformed opinion but it should still be close.

650 is a conservative estimate. If Jim can get this thing to hook up without the trans going blamo I'm guessing he'll see low tens and maybe high nines without the help of lame power adders like NOS. Records don't last long around here
Good luck Jim, hope they can get it done in time. If not, don't sweat it dude, plenty of time to get it right and run it when you get back home.

Maybe i'm missing something but isn't there only two choices? X-Power (Kleemann) and Weistec?

Who are the other choices?

9s are a bit of stretch...mid to low 10s is more realistic

I think with the right tuning and tire/suspension set up the car will go LOW 10's and possibly high 9's IF the driveline will hold together. It will be a monster.
I believe I know where the new MB Overall record will be coming from. At least I got to carry it for a week.

Please keep us updated!
Good luck Jim!!

FYI - Weistec and MHP have teamed up together to put what will probably be the most potent package there will be!! HOLY CRAPP!!!

This must be the only site in the world in which nitrous is a power adder but bolting a supercharger on a na engine is not lol!

Any kind of supercharger, turbo, or use of nitrous = Power adder. Check NHRA an IHRA rulebooks.

The supercharger is just not a "lame" power adder.

Jh you seem kinda new and don't get that there are a few certain people here that know everything and that it's not good to challenge what they say!

FWIW, a S/C'd engine with a properly designed free-flowing exhaust will make more hp, and at a lower boost pressure level, than the exact same S/C'd engine with a more restrictive exhaust. In conclusion, just because the recorded boost level goes down, doesn't necessarily mean that the measurable output goes down.

Oh, and a free-bump for an update. I think many are awaiting your feedback on this noteworthy mod to your high-profile CLK63BS.

C63 runs 2.65 rear, BS's run 2.82s. 650 wheel is gonna be epic!

Here's hoping for any kind of hook up guys!

SO glad AMG's are breaking the 700hp barrier!

SMPT...my car so thanks!

Have a bunch of surprises to be released on the next update in June so it should be great!

Just waiting to see if Jim's tranny handles the torque and I will see if I can push a bit further.

Rich, how is Jim's car coming along.
