Congrats, I've got one going on right now as well, I'd be interested in knowing what other mods if any you have done to you BS. I'm very interested in seeing how different levels of mods work with the SC and what ends up being the best all around package. When I say "best" I'm not just talking peak HP numbers, I'm talking drivability, reliability etc. combined with power.

Jim,
I have almost talked myself into taking the plunge as well. I'm told the car was picked up yesterday and on its way to Brad.

Can those of you planning on getting one of these S/C installed supply more details? HP/Torque increases; max psi; any issues re: increased temps for road course use, etc.
Any further info appreciated.

There is a thread in the C63 section and Weistec has posted some dyno figures from their otherwise bone stock C63 test mule prototype there. As the customer units start to roll out I'm sure you will see some additional info and results but as of right now it would be speculation at this point.

Thanks for the interest in our system Bish. Our Stage 1 system makes 626HP and 551 lb ft (Approx 500whp and 440wtq). We utilize a air/water inter-cooler system with a heat exchanger and this keeps air temps very low and consistent. You can also view more on our website as JrCart linked. Please let us know if you have any other questions we can assist with.

I did a little bit of researching....the formula for finding the incremental increase in HP at 100% efficiency is ((ambient air+boost)/ambient air)*existing HP). Using this formula on a BS, at 5psi we get ((14.7+5)/14.7)*507 = 679 HP. Again this assumes 100 efficiency...even if we are 10% lower the SC is worth 150HP over stock.
I haven't found anything on the torque formula...

Your car is already so highly modified that whilst it will obviously make more power etc, those gains will be less than a car in OEM condition. Your thoughts?

The main issue for me is heat soak on the road course causing the car to go into 'limp mode' from increased engine oil temps. The last thing I need is not being able to run WOT for the usual 25 minute advanced DE session.

Thanks for the heads-up. I would love to see results from the same dyno for a car stock; with headers, and then with the S/C installed. A perfect way to see the actual delta between the above mods.

CLK63 Black, E350 Wagon, Supercharged Denali, Lotus Elise, Tesla Model 3 Dual-Motor.
Those with Headers, Cat delete, Larger down pipes and or Head work done may find you'll be on the low side of 5 lbs of boost with the standard installed. The freer the exhaust side, the boost pressure becomes less at a set setting. There may even be a need for a pulley change for some of the modified cars.

As far as we know, the engine internals are identical, however we did see a change in block and head casting. We have a couple M156 engines on stands and that is very small difference between both.
The same car in stock form made 362whp and 339wtq on the same dyno.

Well my BS is completely stock so will be a good chance to see what kind of incremental increases this product can achieve on a base model black series.

I was going to wait for the bi-turbo 55s to come out but if if this SC kit on a 63 motor is reliable enough. It would be a good alternative.
Does your stage two involve changing pistons, rods and valves to lower CR and allow you to raise boost? At $28K, I would imagine some internal reinforcements, lower CR and tranny upgrade. Correct?

Can I come by and visit your shop as I live in Southern Cal? I want to see this kit installed on the car featured in your youtube video myself.

Flying into OC a week from today to pick mine up. I'm attendnig the Famoso track event next Friday and the Hooters meet in Lake Forest on Saturday. Can't wait, I will post up my impressions and feedback on the system. I would assume they are taking photos of the build, I'd be happy to post those as well as some dyno numbers.
