Here's mine...

I guess I'm the last one to the dance.

Rough test fit was done, but my car need to be retrofitted back to the stock hood first to do a final test fit. Sorry about the crappy photos and the dust. The profile of the vents is more subtle than the previous. I am planning on placing aerocatch safety pins for the added protection

Very nice Won! I may need to give Carl a call and see if he can make me one

Will you be able to drill through CF to install the aerocatch? Would that cause any fracture in the CF?

Also, if your aerodynamic is right, air coming in through the front will be evacuated via the slots on the hood, and create a bit of "downforce" so the hood should not fly up with increasing speed.

The car has been reverted back to stock and the hood fits just as the stock one does. I don't know when the vehicle will be fully ready. The guy working on my car has been suffering from bad pancreatitis.

The yellow marker tape is to make sure the aerocatch pins I am installing will be even. Hood has been sanded down for priming.

I ordered double sided carbon and it is fantastic from the bottom. This pic is really terrible but it looks great in person.

I had a chance to weigh the hood and painted it weighs 25 lbs. this is compared to 42 lbs for the stock hood. I would estimate about 22 lbs left unpainted.

Aerocatch hood pins installed. I wish I had something more finished to show you guys, but I think it's going to turn out well.

I love the hood, looks well made. My only question is why did you go with the hood latch lever system? Why not us the stock mechanism, its much cleaner looking?

It's in addition to the stock mechanism. I just had an acquiantance who had a vorsteiner carbon fiber hood failure. It shattered his windshield and ruined the roof of his car. Although the design of the mb hoods minimize the risk of cf hoods failing, there's always a chance especially after time, and I didn't think it was worth the risk.

Doctored photo to show what it would look like without the pins

Although I like the hood better without the pins, it looks better with the stock grill

Way to go Won! I think it looks perfect the way you have it now ie dark hood pins and no star in grill. I did not expect to like the pins but it gives a passerby a hint of the car's racing pedigree! The hood overall looks absolutely top class!!
