JRCART/WEISTEC Go 10.639 @ 134.99 mph Byron Dragway
I went to the track today, had some decent results but there's still more, track prep was good but temps were in low to mid 80s and DA was over 2000.

New wheels and tires, better track prep resulted in 1.60 60s this time. I think I am leaving a couple tenths on the table with the DA and air temps. Got a few new goodies going on the car over the next couple weeks in addition to the new hood so in better air conditions, a slightly better 60ft and the new HP I am looking for 10.3s or better.

Congratulations on the improvement. It will be neat to see the improvements in better conditions. I am curious if the hood is going to help as much as it might hurt on drag. Better air for the engine for sure. But maybe more drag. Maybe a run with a stock hood and new hood on the same day. Would be fairly easy to do. I have an old ram air Oldsmobile and that thing grabs some air. But I know it has a lot of drag also. I always like the cowl induction for that reason. I have never seen test data on any of it though other than why cowl induction works.
Any way hope to see some low 10.-- from you soon.

Congratulations. I'm pretty sure you will improve in your following runs. Keep up the good work. By the way, isnt that a record trap speed?

I think a 9.99 is on the horizon... when the weather gets cooler and a better first half 1/8 mile time comes together.

Just a 4 point roll bar, not NHRA approved for the times I am running. One of my very good friends is good friends with the owner of Byron so I don't even have to go through tech inspection and I get my own staging lane at their test & tune events, it's the "Mercedes" lane and needless to say that lane never gets too busy LOL, although some of the rednecks out there don't think it's too funny. I am at the pont now where I am going to start running into some issues with tech a certain tracks, although Route 66 Raceway has me teched at 10.50 regardless of trap speed but now I am knocking on the door of a 10.50. I doubt I am going to put a full cage in it, if I go that far I might as well gut it and turn it into a full blown racer but thats not likely.
