What's the daily diff between a S Charged vs. NA enhanced car
#26
Mine is making about 661 and Earls is about 665, a stock BS make 410-420. Mine should be 665-670 with my new MAFs and airbox next week, plus my ram air which is very hard to gauge on a dyno.
Let's just say Earl and I are not running the Weistec stage 1, we both run the Weistec race ported heads, heavily modified fuel delivery systems which include larger fuel rails, larger fuel injectors and insane amounts of boost considering we are both running stock internals. If we can take advantage of our new intake systems we can probably make 700whp, the limiting factor was air, now we both have new intakes (we are both testing a different set up) which are allowing Weistec to turn the boost up on both our cars. By January both cars should be making the above quoted 700whp.

Maverick,
I won't speak for Jimmy but I will say the prototype stuff will benefit all. Best for you is that it won't be lhd or rhd specific so it will benefit you as well!!
The reason I left my car out west will become apparent come February. You might even want to jump on a plane and come up.
Jimmy and I have a side bet to see who is first into the 9's with a full weight car!

As Earl mentioned we are working on something else that will be of interest to several of you and will be a HUGE advancement with these cars. One of us should be posting details in January once it has been real world tested and track tested. Both our cars are at Weistec right now getting this stuff developed.

Was a new fuel pump and injectors part of the Weistec kit..?
I know they were required parts of the Denali's MagnaCharger kit.

Holy ****! 20 psi on a high compression motor? And I thought I was pushing the limits with 9psi, turf again I drive the car on the street alot and only run 93 octane. But still I'm shocked you guys aren't getting detonation, much less blown motors even at 15psi. Keep it up, this is getting interesting

Would have been great and it wasn't hot that night but we were entertaining a client of my wife's that Friday.

The more I read the more I'm shying away from the new 63TT AMGs and going the Weistec route soon.

Earl and I are running very similar set-ups with the exception of our intakes, I am obviously running my Ram-air hood and he is running a Weistec protoype intake system, we both only made a handful of passes with these set-ups at Vegas last month so no real conclusions have been drawn as to which set-up is better. I can tell you both set-ups work much better than anything we previously ran.

Wow that's amazing! Does the BS have forged pistons? I haven't been keeping up with the setups but if he is shredding belts that 8 rib belt setup is a good idea. Also might want to try getting more wrap aka belt contact with the belt on the pulley. I haven't looked at the Weistec setup but there are many ways to achieve this.

Jim
any modifications to the transmission/ diff to handle that kind of power or is it all stock, had you any issues with the tranny so far, I am thinking of getting W SC, havent decided what stage yet, just looking

No trans issues(yet)but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. We are currently looking into some transmission and torque converter improvements so if and when the need arises we can bolt up a beefier transmission.

Ronnie,
To recap what Jim has been saying. With the stage 2+ system, I drove the car from LA to Vegas in the dead of August (temperature stayed above 90/100 degrees the entire time. When we got to Vegas we changed tires and rattled off a 10.8. Put the street rubber back on and the guys drove back to LA.
The only additional mod I recommend is a 9500CI passport radar system. It has saved me from being caught at impound and go to jail speeds!

Ronnie, my car is out in California at Weistec right now. I am probably going to keep it out there until Jan or Feb so I can fly out there and try to take advantage of a couple track events but when I get it back to Naperville you are more than welcome to come over to my place and check out the SC and even drive it (weather permitting since you only live less than an hour away from me.
