MY black has a new room mate
I always wanted a e39 540. 2003 was the last year they made 6 speed with M-tec , basically all M5 body kit , suspension, interior etc but the engine. they only made 1200 or so in 2003 for US. I was able to find a decent car with body in good condition but needed some mechanical work. it has the dinan 5 package also, this is my project car, she is finally almost ready after 3 months of working on it.

The E39 has a great look to it, nice lines. It's going to age a whole lot more gracefully that the new series IMO.
