Forgive my ignorance, but I noticed a couple cars at the Weistec event that had the rear tunnel cover (between where the rear seats would have been) in carbon fiber. One car even had the OE piece sitting back there as well.
Who makes this piece? I looked at MA Carbon but didn't see it listed.

How are that new blips?? No one has posted a video! I saw the photos of blip day and was pretty could see all that Blacks together. All of you are happy with the upgrade? What about the downshift when you are at high revs? (5.000 rpm aprox) can you make the change at sames range? Or needs to be on less rev now? AMG answer my email saying that they didnt have experience about that mod and couldnt say nothing to me...but how i said, i think its brilliant and waiting my turn..

Just got my ECU, TCU and Valve body from Weistec and installed back on the BS. So far so good. The transmission seems more responsive with upshifts that would approach the speed of a real, good DCT. Downshifts are smoother and more "seamless." Of course it rev matches. However, the overall algorithm is still governed by the TCU so it won't give you those "machine gun" rapid downshifts.
If you are expecting this mod to change the car into something like a 911 with a PDK, forget about it. But it certainly is a welcome mod and bring the BS into the 21st century. I would highly recommend that you do both the TCU and the valve body upgrade as it is a more complete package and seems to increase the overall responsiveness of the transmission.
The car is more stable under heavy breaking and also when kicking down from say 6 to 4 when going from partial throttle to WOT. Much less jerkiness and overall better traction. Definitely increases the joy of driving.
Big thanks to Zach and the team at Weistec: they are very professional and responsive to emails. So far no glitches but will need to put more miles on it.
One question is about longevity of this mod. I'd be interested to hear from owners who's had this mod for years and driven for many thousands of miles. Any issues?
