Looking to buy a CLK Black Series

If mileage isn't a concer, there is one with over 100k miles that I am very positive that you can score it for <$30k out-the-door. It all depends on what you'll be using the car for, on this cheapest one in the market, it's good for a project-build.

The $39k from FL is the same $30k I'm talking about, turned hands over a dozen times, multiple dealers list it up yet only one (or maybe none) has real possession of the car, the prices are all over the map from mid $20k's to high $30k's; on top of that, the whole history is listed in another thread on the first page of this sub-forum if you've done your homework.
And I know many butts will get hurt when I say this, but sadly the moded one in the market are not tasteful at all, none of them are, many aging amateurs think they know the mods they're doing is an "upgrade" but they're nothing name-brand and some are DIY made in their garage, no different than what kids do to their Acuras back in the days... very sad to see and to say the least.
As for the $59k one, are you talking about the black one with black wheels in Texas? CEL wouldn't turn off but I think it's been brought up multiple time; but if it's not that one, post up a link, and I'm sure one of us can tell you more about it.

Make sure you get the car inspected from a non-MB third party first (mobile ones that charges way less than $200 to come out), before even putting out $250+ for a PPI by a MB dealership/authorized service center; and for the following inspection, make sure it's going to a MB authorized service center with an in-house body shop, where they can put the car on a chassis/frame bed, and they can also provide further in depth inspection on body&paint. It's good that you were a mechanic, so you should be able to know what to look out for in that criteria, double-check what MB tells ya after their inspection; but for body&paint, best to also have an experienced detailer to come along the final look before writing that check, not only to double-check MB's body&paint inspection, but to inspect the interior as well.
There are a few questionable cars being discussed already in other threads (mostly on the first page) of this sub-forum, and if you don't see the ones you're looking at in any of those threads, PM me and I can tell you what I know or have heard from other prospects/buyers in the market.

Thanks again.

Thanks again.
The furthest I've had gone was only to a neighboring state, but I can totally relate about budgeting a trip just to reassure the legitimacy of the car.
Another site, and surprisingly where I hunted down the one I've actually bought (which wasn't listed on either eBay or autotrader, was Cars.com
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Benz-CLK-Class-Black-Series-Mercedes-Benz-CLK-63-AMG-Black-Series-/261742579909?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3cf112d0c5&item=261742579909&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
What do you think?

No but for real though, the prices are high there mainly due to import tax & registration, gray-market cars will still be billed up the ying yang; and if they're anything like Taiwan, the annual vehicle tax is base on engine displacement, that's why you'd see more E92/E90 M3 there than W204 C63.
I saw that also
Did not find more info
But did not spend much time looking
Any follow-up on this
