Front Black Series Rotors

I videoed it at just 10 miles an hour and lightly touched the brakes and dogs came running . I called ebc because they claim no noise , and they would have replaced them . Maybe I got a bad set . But I just saved them for emergency or a Track day . I must say they do stop .

I had "EBC" Red stuff, on 8-pot calipers,
they so noisy, when they were new..!
but after around (700) miles, no noisy anymore,,
just need to know, if it the same way with "Slk55/Clk63" 6-pot calipers..?!?

They had suggested the ebc blues to me because of the weight of the car and the combo street and track use . But dang they squealed so much . Sometimes you would get 4 different tones from each break wheel ,

Yeah, you may correct,
i believe, EBC pads not match with some sorta of "Brembo" Rotors..!,
when i switch "OEM/Brembo" Rotors to aftermarket plane slotted Rotors, NO squeal at all..!,
can we say; EBC pads don't like drilled or even dimpled Rotor,,
who knows..!?!

That very well could be . Good point . I'm gonna put giro or racing brk rotors on my clk63 bs and retry the ebc blues . They are the same pad as my c63 so they will fit the BS caliper and I'll see how they do .

I'm running Girodisc with EBC RedStuff for daily driving and a few track days. I have been very happy with the performance and much less dust than stock pads.
Make sure to bed the brake pads in properly to help reduce the noise and better stopping friction. Also, apply some brake lubricant on the parts where the pad touches the caliper, i found that helps. If noise continues try lightly sanding the pad surface to remove any hard debris that may contact the brake rotor surface.
I have a set of EBC YellowStuff as well but haven't had a chance to try them yet.
Enjoy!

Great, Thanks,,
That's may a good prove that "EBC" pads doesn't like the mixture of cast or even SS from "Brembo",,
or at least; plane Rotor could be a best friend with "EBC's"..

There is also a difference between new pad/old rotor vs new pad/new rotor. I had the latter scenario.
Also, to your point, the pad and rotor materials make a difference. Usually, the right combo is for the car weight and application. However, materials under pressure can have unpredictable reactions.

Yeah, agree with you,,
but i tried "EBC's" with "OEM/Brembo", either way new & bad, noise appears always..!,,
but when i used it with plane aftermarket Rotor, NO any noise at all..?!?!

Sounds like a material incompatibility...
Although, on all the cars I have used EBC RedStuff, I don't recall having cross-drilled rotors. They were always solid vented or slotted. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Maybe there's some kinda Echo sound caused from friction of differ strong carbon material that "EBC" pads made of..!?!,,
and that Echo sounds want to escape through the drilled pots..

LOL, probably need an echo locator like sonar or something...
Being the noise is typically from vibrations, I use brake lubricant on metal contacting parts to minimize it.

Very good points here . The ebc blues work great but just noisy on brembo rotor . Hard to believe though vibration caused some much noise . I mean I could be at 10 mph and they sang like a die'en duck

If i'm not mistaken;
Brembo pads contains carbon semi-metallic composed of metal Iron or SS filings,
EBC may having a differ components, like copper brass with steel shavings,,
if so, that will give it stronger friction to the cast iron surface, but with less dust..!!

Clk63 Black series rotor
Are these for the 2008 clk63 bs?
Does anyone know of an alternative to part# 2094210212 (front brake rotors for the CLK BS)? From my understanding MB discontinued our rotors.

Well , my Eurosport’s needs replaced and I have e track days coming . Was thinking of the girosisc brand . But the Brembo s are cheaper and have always held up good . So if they are exact replacement they yay for me . Plus fcp uro has awesome warranty
