Hang on to these Black Series if you can.

a lot of the new owners don't know this, but Mercedes has recently discontinued most, if not all, of the cosmetic/exterior parts, including all of the things that will need replacement if it come across any impact (or for the carbon pieces, just wear and tear from aging); depending on which part of LA that you drive it to and what time of the day & which day of the week that you drive your car, I'd give it a second thought the next time you take it out for a spin.
with that said, do enjoy the drive as they are meant to be driven - IMO, dictate where and when you drive it, away from the bad drivers & bad roads, especially in LA.
a few friends of mine with R34 GTR are always proud of themselves driving those supposedly rare RHD gems (anything from MNPII to Mspec Nur) around the streets of LA, but they have a much lesser risk when things go wrong, because Nissan/Nismo just re-launched the production on the entire parts catalog; need a bumper from accident? sure, just order them and they're readily available.
with our car? if someone ran into it, we are f*cked.

reality is-I enjoy driving my E90 M3 and 500E too much to interrupt the rotation. as some are suggesting-the CLK BS will probably be a once in a while type of car event thing to take to. probably better to enjoy it more that way too. certainly dont want to deal with untoward repairs.
