Since you asked, I happen to know what my ex CLK sold for the second time around. I'm not going to disclose it here, because it wouldn't add any value to the conversation. Why? Because every USED car is UNIQUE. Never two the same

Anyway, I only created this thread to show she's on her 3rd owner. Instead of focusing on $$ this, and $$$ that, how about celebrating what fantastic driving experiences these CLK's offer?

on the opposite spectrum, a SLS BS also sold this past wknd for $941k +fees (https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/a...-coupe/1330727), is the CLK63BS not even a quarter of a car than a SLS BS?
Dip was noticeable, yes, yet seems like that's already over on limited product gems; with fine examples of the C209BS getting lesser and lesser every year, while dollar keeps depreciating, it's only normal to see the number-in-dollars climb (not climb in value, in no way i'm calling this appreciating over time, simply just depreciation/recession proof).

"8.2.2. In the event of a final Hammer Price above US$250,000.00 on all motor car lots, RMS will receive a Buyers’ Premium of 12% on the first US$250,000.00 and will receive a Buyers’ Premium of 10% on the Hammer Price above US$250,000.00."
and it wasn't ONLY a comparison to just the SLS BS, it was also to that championship Integra Type R which went for $151k +fees.
not arguing in terms of mileage & production quantity; with all that said and factored- is it, or is it not, that the CLK63BS is a quarter of a car of a SLS BS? not half, not 1/3, but not a 1/4?
and, is it or is it not, $30k more of a car in today's dollar, than that Integra Type R? which is far from delivery miles (6k+) how many ITR were there? just for USA there were 3800+ produced.
vtec just kicked in yo. haha

as for the comparison between those cars, of course that's not how it "works", this is just all subjectively speaking; a yes or no question, that's all.
and IMO, the CLK63BS is just about a quarter of a car to the SLS BS, as well as being a +$20k~$30k of today's dollar on top of an ITR in similar conditions; some may say it's more, based on (original msrp) values, and some say it's less, i have heard both reasonings, but just not of yours.
I'm guess you are leaning towards that it's lesser than a quarter of a car to the SLS BS? and an equivalent (or even lesser than) of an ITR? curious to know your reasons on why that is.
at the end of the day, it'll only go as high or low, of how much the buyer/bidder would pay for, doesn't matter mileage or production number; high doubt anyone here that has this BS like you and I do, not knowing how it "works".
