Been thinking about new wheels. Has anyone used amg replicas? If so, would you recommend it?

 

I would like to know this as well. I looked all over the intertubes to find replicas of the AMG wheels from the CLS63/E63. The best I could do was find a few repaired/used OEM rims.

Since the CLS is so new, I doubt many people have replicas -- you may have better luck asking the folks over in the W212 E-class forum as I bet a bunch of them have used them.

What a pain in the **** to secure these wheels.
Since 2012 just came out, no one seems to know if reps will fit.
I may have to wait or just get something else.

Online stores were not very helpful with fitment so my local shop here in Tampa,FL made it happen. MB offers these on CL63 as an upgraded option. It took me awhile to warm up to it. I've always been very conservative on wheels. These are Satin black with machine finish. Same size as CLS63 amg wheels and tires. The stock 18's just didn't do it for me.

I see a blue one all the time on Park Blvd in St Petersburg. I thought it might be since you are in the Tampa area.

BTW... you should install clearbra. My last E550 was also black and the front end was all chipped. I had it installed asap once took delivery of the CLS.

 

Do you have clearbra on in the pics? How expensive is it?


The junk and debris on the roads in Tampa bay area is incredible! All kinds of stuff besides the usual rocks and stuff. Picked up nails in three tires in seven months (one in a rental and two in my E350).

 

It's on, very hard to see that it's even there. Price is very reasonable. All depends on what you want. Mine was $580 includes front bumper head lights and fogs.

I only go to one guy. Autopaint guard.

As for the drop, I completely agree.

 

Here you go - I've bought two sets from them before for my other MB's. No complaints... I'm going to 19's when the rubber wears out on my current OEM set...

Nope. For this car I'm going to use the same look just in 19's. I already have the rims, just waiting until the car needs new rubber, then will swap out the TPMS and mount the new ones...

 

Just an FYI...I contacted usarim to insure fitment and they could not.
