Thanks guys, it sounds deeper in person, more of a muscle car sound than a race car.. The rumbling v8 noise is nice but not as quiet as it used to be inside the car. I'll make a full stretch once I get the car back from the bodyshop, somebody keyed my car at the mall.

It's amazing how jealous people are now a days. And so ignorant to someone else's property, how could someone scratch that beautiful diamond white? I got my bmw keyed last year as well, i know how it feels..

Sorry to hear about your car being keyed.
This is why I'm so paranoid when taking out the nice cars. People can be the worst and most evil on earth.

Awesome! So, what exactly did you do? One, remove the resonators(?); and two, replace the muffler with which brand? I love the burble. Reminds me of my CL600 upon start-up. Do you know if this will affect the warranty. I have a chip tune and want more audio with the slightly upgraded performance. Thanks.
BTW, sorry to hear about the key. That's not cool.

In order to save the stock exhaust and be able to reverse back to stock, stock exhaust was cut right after the secondary cats and was removed from the car. It was then custom piped using aero mufflers all the way to the tips. I don't believe this voids warranty.

I have the RENNtech tune but need a sound like you have. What model number or style Aero muff did you use? Have you had any issues with more noise in cabin (which I would expect) or any drone at cruising speed?

Sounds awesome! I am a huge fan of exhaust mods and currently have exhaust mods on both of my Porsches and did to almost every car I ever "owned". However, I have never modded a lease before. You lease or own??

A-M , Could you tell me the part number of the Aero muffler and where they can be purchased?
Also, have there been any motor issues with the possible back pressure change?

ccharlied- Although I love the sound that A-M has on his CLS, I took a simpler route and recently tried a resonator delete. I had a custom muffler shop cut off the resonators and welded two straight stainless pipes in its place. Startup and acceleration sound has increased, yet it is still fairly quiet during cruising speeds. Best of all, there is no drone in the cabin... perfect for my needs. Something to consider... or at least, a place to start.
