I am very happy and excited... Today, I went to dealer and ordered 2013 CLS 550 Steel Grey with almond/mocha interior for European Delivery Program.

I have included almost everything:

It cost about 78.000$ and made some deposit. I will pick up the car on 15th August in Germany and planning to have a vacation in Turkey.

Only change is the update in the Telematics for MBrace 2, the COMAND unit will now have basic apps, internet, and owners manual all integrated.

I was thinking of ordering the 2013 CLS also but have now decided to wait until next May to order the 2014 model. This came about after test driving the 2013 SL with the new 429hp V8 single turbo. That will be the standard engine on the 2014 CLS. Unfortunately the 2013 keeps the current engine.

Looks like its also available on the CLS (did not see it originally but I just checked the order guide again and its showing now) but with all the notations in reduction of space in the trunk I am wondering how bad it is going to be with B&O installed and honestly it is going to sound that much better than the HK system?

Actually I was right. It's a biturbo. The s classes are always up on power vs the mid tier cars

I am not sure if its gonna have 429hp engine but all 2013 E&S&SL 550s have 429hp engine so why not cls??? the guy who has been working there for 24 years (he is like 60-65 years old) told me that 2013 cls s prices will be higher in compare to 2012`s. it might be because of engine,B&O, telematic, etc. lemme check on tuesday.

The S, CL, and SL have the 429hp engine, but I didn't see any place that said the 2013 E550 will have 429hp. I am pretty sure the E and CLS are going to retain their 402hp.

best option is to buy a 2012 at the end of the yr, probably save some money enless u need the BO system

The 2014 CLS 550 is going to have the same engine as it has now, a slightly detuned version of the engine in the upper 550 models. It is done for marketing reasons. All the turbo V8s in Mercedes' cars are twin turbo charged. There is no single turbo V8 Mercedes engine anywhere in the Mercedes lineup.

When I asked my dealer they didnt know anything about that but I do recall reading an article that said in 2014 when the w212 E-class gets it's mid-cycle refresh, it will getting the same higher output 430hp/ 516 lb-ft 4.7L of the S, CL, GL and SL. I would imagine the CLS will get it too if the cheaper E is.
