To really appreciate what a great deal this is let me put it in prospective. I got well in back of invoice on an Employee deal and put $5k down. If you were able to even beg and plead and get 4500 off list which is almost at invoice, you'd be doing well. If you then put down 3500 like I am asking, your payment on my same car would $250 more / mo then my payment. Anyway I am sure anyone interested in my car will evaluate their situation and ultimately shop around and they can decide for themselves. I am confident they will quickly realize that this is in fact a great deal. Thank you for all who have expressed interest, I have replied to all PM's.

I an earlier post I saw you mention that your build on a 650GC was 95K. I built a 640GC on line & I was pushing 100k easily. I was expecting the 650 to come in around 110K or so nicely equipped.
IMHO if I were to look for a 650GC, I would much rather get a M5 if staying within BMW or a CLS63 (without PP they come out to around 106K...nicely equipped)

looks great.
If i were to compare between the two models as per your build the 650's specs are more in line with 95K than the 640 for 85K
10K buys you a lot more performance here.
The 640 is a hair heavier than the RWD CLS550 & down a decent bit on power. I will have to swing by & check one out soon to see if the experience is close.
I agree that the interior is beautiful in the 6GC. But most press shots have been of individual interiors. Also, if you do a full leather interior, you have to fork out 3K for nappa & another 3K for dash and trim in leather. So, when I build one & start off, I am at 84K by just selecting trim. I will have to see if the interior in base spec is good to the touch in person.
Although, if I were planning on keeping a 640 for 2-3 months & getting rid of it for a 650. I would build it exactly as you did.

Yea i agree with you. BMW's designs havent been the best lately. Last great design was the Z8 imo. I do like the GC though....Funny, when i see a 6 coupe or convertible I dont think it looks that great, which doesnt make much sense seeing as the GC is almost the same up to front doors...LOL

that switch is hard to believe
hard to follow this exchange....
from elegant and powerful presence with flowing lines in the CLS to a stubby and flat baked 5-series, that does not even have a low flowing back....rather a trunk that looks like glued on after the fact...
and from a potent and effiicient V8 to a six cylinder for same or more money....
by the way the good deals are not that unique.....my CLS550 4matic has MSRP of 83 k (same options) and with 51 month lease (10 k per year) I Pay 875 per month with residual at 48%.....(6k down payment)...
never the less good luck with the new BMW.....

875 per month with 6K down at 10K/year for 51 month is not a good deal.
at 51 months, you will be out of warranty over the life of the lease.
If you search this forum, you will see what others have had

Lets look at your "good deal" you think you got which is nothing like the deal i got
My deal 39 months, 12k miles/year 5k down
Your deal 51 months!
![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
So you will have an additional 12 months of payments at $875 which costs you an additional $10,500.00 + your Additional $1000 down---Your great deal costs you $11,500.00 more and only 10k miles a year.
Finally, the person who bought my car put down 3400 on the car so actually save another 1600 off your great deal. Paying $13,100.00 more on the same car---not a good deal buddy
To your other personal point. I loved the CLS, but you ever drive a Gran Coupe? Its being lauded as one of the most beautiful cars BMW has ever made. The 6 cylinder Turbo is not that far off the performance of the CLS, trust me, as I have driven both. I never say to myself I wish I had more power or the CLS was so much faster because it wasnt. The final thing is the BMW feels sportier, handles better, is more planted, drives better and the interior is much nicer. Again personal preferences and I loved the CLS, but worth mentioning..

None of you guys know a "good" lease deal if it landed on your head. All of these lease specs that you keep discussing are absurd. My S350 is $107k sticker and costs MUCH LESS than your "great" CLS lease. Yeah you'll smoke me off the line in the CLS, but the wad of cash in my pocket will keep me satisfied.
PS - "Normal" M-B leases are not that special, although still way better than BMW. BUT when they run promotions/rebates/etc, they get REALLY, REALLY good and you can work out ridiculous deals!

Point is, BMW is nice, but they are overpriced, overrated, and I've never found their leases to be very appealing except for lately because Mercedes is the leading luxury brand in sales and BMW doesn't want to lose this 3 years and running title. So they are doing everything they can to step it up. Otherwise, it seems customers are voting and facts are facts.
I hope you enjoy your new BMW. But to come on this forum and expect people to pat you on the back for your purchase is humorous. The CLS lines easily trump the best looking BMW car in my opinion. BMW used to be exciting to me. Now they are just a blend in to the crowd looking vehicle. But you're happy with your purchase and that's all that should matter to you.
