So what do you guys think about the GTS Panemara

I think i spelled it right lol. Anyways i really like the the cars looks. The engine does not seem to have much more juice than my cls but im thinking about adding it to my garage. Has anyone owned one or, care to comment on why i should or should not get one. You guys seem to no alot about cars so i always value opinions on this forum.
BTW Im a family guy so i need a four door. 2 door coupes are too hard to get my little boy out, so i want to stick with a four door. If not the Panemera what other car would you recommend in the 100k range?

i wouldnt spend the money on the GTS, it isnt much more "car" than the CLS, if you want something fast for around 100k, id go with the CLS AMG with out the pp. Or try and find a used Panamera Turbo, i have driven two of the turbo's and that car is a complete beast, and it wasnt even the turbo s. i dont care much for the looks, love the CLS way more. But i do think the panamera looks best in a shade of grey or black.

Thanks for the input, but i dont want to get another CLS. Im assuming the turbo is out of my price range. I agree the porsche would look great in gray. Not sure it would be easy to find a used turbo, but i will have to look online and see.

I'm not a big fan of the Panamara for the price. I think if you are going new I would consider the new Audi A8 LWB. Sure the exterior is a bit bland but the interior is class leading.

Otherwise you have the 7 series and S class. I'd hold off on the S-Class unless you get a smoking deal. The new one is coming out soon.

The M-sport 7 series is a serious contender. I drove and really liked this car, but it's a bit high IIRC on price range. Used are probably non existent.

Have you driven the new Jaguar XJ? When I drove one of those I LOVED some of it but still felt it was cheap in some areas.

i guess it depends on what you want, if you want a big car, id go with A8 or the S, my dad has an 07 and it is a beautiful smooth car. Ive never been a fan of bmw's let alone the 7 series. If you want something faster than your CLS 550, you could also get a Biturbo E63 AMG for right around 100k?

What a problem to have eh?
I actually like the Panamera. Interior is excellent imo.
Only problem for me is no spare tire.
Sad to say, but not much to choose from for a high end, high performance sedan in the $100k range.
How about a Maserati Quattroporte????

The Quattroporte's engine note sounds delicious. The car looks beautiful, but from a friend that had one he couldn't keep it on the road long enough to enjoy either of those mentioned items.
Problem with the Panamera is the problem with almost every Porsche. You start optioning it out and you're an extra 30k in the hole.

The panamera looks nice, so many of them are around these days, but i guess it depends on what you want and need, it is a 4 door car but its also tight in the back, if you are looking for space then i think there are many cars with more space like S or the E class. But i think you already have a mercedes, why not go for the porsche and mix things up in your garage?

The Panamera design wise - meh. The front is ok, but the back end is just a disaster. Where Porsche went wrong was they tried to make the Panamera follow the design cues of a 911, and it just does NOT work on this car. The interior is also a mess, just way too many buttons over the center console. Looking outside that, performance is nice.

I know I'm a bit bias being a CLS owner, but I'd take a CLS any day over the Panamera.

I agree did not like it at first, but it grew on me. Did not like then E but it grew on me as well. The thing i like about the gts is it has about the same hp as my cls but faster with no governer that shuts the car down at 130. The cls63 is governed to 150, right? The gts list top speed at 178. Not that i would ever pull to those speeds but its nice to know that when you pay for a fast car you get its full potential.

Just get the AMG performance package on the CLS 63, and the top speed is raised to 186 MPH. Otherwise the CLS 550/63 are limited to 155 MPH, like most German cars.

The fisker is sharp, however unlike benz or porsche they have not been around long enough to prove their reliabilty. Nothing worse that buying an expensive car with no proven reliabilty and unknown depriciation . Im not one to gamble with my money. Benz and porsche have been around for a long time, and imo have proven their worth. Fisker needs more time to prove their value and reliability. Maybe Justin Bieber can chime in on his 110 joyride in LA! Just kidding.

If you can "get into" the looks of the Panamera, it rocks, and the GTS rocks. It's one of the more unique vehicles you can buy nowadays, and even the chassis is bespoke to it. I used to hate it, but grew into really liking it. Sometimes it looks odd, even fugly, ungainly, "shrek-y", but then sometimes it looks absolutely stunningly gorgeous. I think white is by far the best color on it to being out the designs prowess.

Only you can destroy the image of a Porsche for me so perfectly and classicly frickin shrek-y. Cause it does fit. The mirrors the fascia. Nice.

LOL. Whoops, I was initially intending to write only positives about the car.... but I just couldn't help it. The force is kind of strong on that one.
